Fiona Tunnicliffe
Ceramic Artist

Fionas passion for clay was kindled and encouraged during her school years. She undertook the Ceramics course at Wanganui Polytechnic, expanding her knowledge and expertise under the tuition of George Kojis, Ross Mitchell-Anyon and Paul Winspear.

Currently she is working towards her Diploma of Ceramic Arts through Otago Polytechnic and has had the benefit of tutors of the calibre of Peter Collis, John Parker, Matt McLean, and George Andrews

A resident of Taupo, Fiona has exhibited extensively locally and received awards in the Bay Arts and Taupo Arts Society exhibitions. She also has had work accepted for numerous exhibitions throughout New Zealand. Recent successes include the premier award at the 32nd Annual Waikato Society of Potters Exhibition and runner up in the Franklin Arts Society Exhibition, both in 2005.

Her love of animals and sense of humour is reflected in her creations and along with the surface treatments of the clay, they make her work distinctive and desirable.
