Lake Rotokura
Tucked away under Mt Ruapehu to the south lies the tapu waters of Lake
Rotokura, providing ethereal reflections of the tall native trees,
great solitude and peace of mind. Using warm colours for the surrounding
land and cool colours for the elements of sky, snow and water,
I chose to incorporate some of my favourite species that inhabit the
area: raupo, pukeko, horoeka and a "sitting duck"!
