Releaf 2
I turned this piece about seven years ago and is turned out of a Matai block 350mm (14") diameter. The finish is two layers of acrylic paint stippled on with a brush, dark green under a topcoat of copper. I then sand through the topcoat to reveal the base colour. The final finish is Haarlem oil.
Releaf is number 2 of a series and I am presently working on number four, which I will post soon, it is a more organic form.
The spelling of releaf is just a play on words!
