My name is
I live in the small village of Waitahanui, situated on the eastern side of Lake Taupo. My gallery is 13 kilometers south of Taupo which is our closest town at the northern end of the lake and is in the central north island of New Zealand.
My original award-winning woodturned art pieces are distinctive in style, showing particular attention to the finish. Pieces are enhanced with subtle touches of acrylic paint and patinas, giving an attractive textured appearance to his woodturning. My woodturning style ranges from elegant hollow vessels, finely turned ornaments and unusual multi-axis works.
I don't just stick to woodturning, I also creates sculptures for the garden, e.g. my Evolution series (koru sculptures), which are very popular. You can view my interactive sculpture, "The Crossing," commissioned for the public at Ferry Rd lakefront. Recently he has created a large vine-inspired steel pipe sculpture and unique braziers.
I hope you enjoy looking at my pieces as much as I do making them. If you would like to make a comment or ask a question about my woodturning please email me or use my guest book.
